What to the Slave is the 4th of July?

Join the National Park Service as we observe our nation's Independence Day with our annual program of "What to Slave is the Fourth of July?", featuring an actor as Frederick Douglass, as he reenacts the famous abolitionist's famous speech. The performance will start at 11 am.

After the performance, the historic home will be open for first floor walk-throughs and there will be music by DC Strings until 1 pm.
